Winter riding

I just bought the pass then asked the guy at the lift, he didn’t have a
problem and neither did anyone else. It would probably be a good idea
to get official permission though.

One thing that did come up was the possibility of attaching some sort
of strap to it like you would a snow board to prevent a "runaway uni"
but I just said that it will fall when I fall and doesn’t slide like a
ski and that seemed to satisfy the issue.

I really hope nobody has a runaway uni on a ski slope that hurts
someone now as being tied to it would really suck.

i am going to be applying as a ski instructor at one of our ski
mountains like next week. If I get the job and suck up to to owner a
little bit i should have pretty good access to the ski mountain. My
other thought was to make a very dangerous contraption. take the frame
from my cx and mount it on one of my old snow blades and make a uni
version of the ski bikes. it may not work well but wish me luck.

Your proposed contraption sounds like an interesting way to injure
yourself on the ski slopes. Let us know when it's finished.

Well, during winter i dont really unicycle in winter. More so i just sit
in the terrain park at Powder Ridge, in kimball minnesota. I like
skiing lol. I'm a twintipper lol.

I don't think it would suck at all. Leash around the seat post that
clips to your belt loop of your pants. It wouldn't get in the way, and
it will work.

How do you even get permission to do that? I mean, if i even went out
to our hill and did that i'd have a park crew person taking me to the
manager, or if i asked it'd be a whole huge leagal problem lol. Looks

...about permission: we were only allowed to ride this one slope, we
wanted up all the way, but they didn't let us... so it's also not
very easy do this over here...

Yes it will be another way to hurt my self. It will be a while until i
get snow but I may go ahead and get my snow blades to figure this thing
out. Ive already broken my collar bone and pinched off the end of my
pinky there so I won't even have to fill out the paper work... i should
be on file by now 😄

I'd get a coilled leash like 'this ' (http://tinyurl.com/32oa55)one.
I'd want a longer one though, or two hooked together. I wouldn't want
to have an awkward fall and land with, say my back or face on the
pedal.

Ride everywhere and never just ride anywhere. If you can ride where you
are going within a hour, do it, and if you can do a trick 50-75% of the
time do it along the way.
Parafrasing a pro skater when asked for advise to kids who wanted to
get much better and maybee turn pro one day.

So I live in place where there is a good amount of snow in the
winter...and lots of salt. I've never really taken my uni out in the
snow before because i thought the salt would ruin it. Is this not a
problem, or what is the best way to prevent any damage if possible?

That sounds like a great idea; I will look into getting something
similar. I couldn’t think of anything that would be long enough
to have the uni a safe distance away when falling short enough not to
get in the way and strong enough not to break. You would just have to
make sure not to go into a roll or something.

I would definitely say attach it to a belt though as a belt loop would
surely rip.

EDIT: domdom: just wipe it off when you are done or take the uni into
the shower and rinse it off with clean water.
