  1. Lance is the most successful Tour rider of all time because......

    1. Intense desire to succeed.
    2. Incredible preparation.
    3. Amazing attention to detail.
    4. Increible ability to focus on all details.
    5. Way above average physiology, i.e low lactic acid output, high Vo2 max,etc
    6. Cutting edge equipment and tech advances.
    7. Great surrounding cast. From teammates, Director (Johan) etc.

Lance may be the most focused athlete of all time. Perhaps this stems from his very real, very close brush with dying that changed him. It gave him the ability to singularly focus on getting what he wants to accomplish. Lance has surrounded himself with the top people in every aspect of the race, from bikes to cooks to massuers, etc. He meticulously controls every aspect of this race. What is wrong with that? Again, this goes back to his focus, and desire ---- which culminates in his preparation, which simply put, is better than everyone elses.

    you forgot 8,9 and 10

    which are
    8=EPO
    9=Corticosteroids
10=All the other dope the cheat takes

  3. 1. Intense desire to succeed.-Obviously no other cyclist has this
    2. Incredible preparation.-yes all other cyclists are fat lazy slobs unlike lance
    3. Amazing attention to detail.-?
    4. Increible ability to focus on all details.-isn't this the same as 3,are you struggling for reasons
    5. Way above average physiology, i.e low lactic acid output, high Vo2 max,etc-vo2 max is lower than brad mcgees but we don't see brad climbing mountains like they are bumps
    6. Cutting edge equipment and tech advances.-what? so his improvment is down to equipment? this would be a good argument if the rest of the peleton were riding on bikes from the 60s but sadly not
    7. Great surrounding cast. From teammates, Director (Johan) etc.-mostly linked with drugs(Carmichael, ferrari etc....)

you're arguments are flawed, lance is a druggie FACT

he failed a test in 99 and got let off cos he produced a postdated prescription

  6. Guess again!

Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy visit your home???
    Want to buy a bridge?

Want to sponsor a cycling team which refuses to use blood doping, insulin, amphetamines, vasodilators, steroids and corticosteroids? You won't see a TDF invitation.

How about the 'nice guy myth' I hear that makes you fast.

Go put a flower on doper Tom Simpson's Monument.

Then go find the graves of Pantani, Jimenez, Claveyrolat, Anquetil, Coppi, Jensen, de Meyer, Oosterbosch, Haghedooren, Meijer, Draaijer, Grouselle, Macha, Dolman, Bobet, Lopez-Carrol, Van de Walle, Zanetti, Ceriani, Rusconi, Salanson, Zanoli, Sermon, Vermaut, Pauwels, Knetemann, Zinoviev, Galletti and place flowers there too.

It is knuckeheads like you that allow commercial themes to override logic, facts, common sense and history.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Lance climb all the mountain stages twice before the tour starts? And wasn't this year the first time another did that - Ulrich?

Wasn't that failed test due to cortisone cream for saddle sores? And wasn't the level in his blood below the "Doping level"?

I have used cortisone cream so does that mean I'm a doper?
I carry an inhaler for my son (who has asthma) so does that make me a doper?

I'd like to see a link to show how doping causes cancer. I know DHT ( a testosterone derivitave) can accelerate prostate cancer, but what about testicular cancer? Where is the evidence Lance doped pre-cancer?

STeroids do cause liver cancer. REad the label if you ever have the chance on a box of Decca or Acetabolan...

better than being an ignorant apologist who jerks off when july comes around :P

  12. If your saddle cream is loaded with corticosteroids, then you are a doper.

Problem is, no saddle creams come with steroids.

Corticosteroids are injected before the time trial effort.

That saddle cream cover story sure sounds great to the doper enablers.

Sort of like Acto-something & insulin did to Lance in his December 2000 website confession. Corrected the next day by Mark Gorski as Actovegin was banned by the IOC on December 14, 2000.

Got to love cover stories. You can always modify them as needed at a later date.

It's in the civil lawsuits of: Greg Strock, Erich Kaiter and Gerrik Latta v USA Cycling et al...

    These were Lance's teammates in 1990 & 1991.

All claim they were forced into 4-5 daily injections.

Lance, Greg & Erich all got sick. Only Lance recovered, hence is now a rock star.

Just read a little about cycling the last 50 years---you'll be shocked by the illegal doping and lying.

Then again, maybe you won't be. Just deny it.

  14. Why Armstrongs doesn't win anymore:

    He's retired!

Why don't you all talk about something else... like maybe cycling?

  15. [font=Verdana]I second that ! We have all established he is a great cyclist but we don't need to go on and on about it........ there was another bike race on today and none of you guys are talking about it ! you call yourselves racing intellectuals ! ?Phooey !

Flyer, you're mistating the facts, again. LA claimed it was a cream for saddle sores, not a saddle cream, as you have chosen to phrase it. You're right, saddle cream or chamois cream doesn't typically contain corticosteroids. There isn't much need to reduce inflammation of your saddle or shorts. But anti-inflammatory creams FOR SKIN often do contain corticosteroids.

How exactly would an injection of an immunosuppressive/anti-inflammatory steroid improve one's time trial performance? And if LA were injected with corticosteroids, do you think the concentration would be a higher than the trace amount detected?

If Lance is a doper they are all doper and therefore the playing field is level. It's fine to be a Lance hater, but it's clouding your judgement here and in every other thread you've been posting on of late.
