Well I took the plunge into the pool at the gym tonight and took a water aerobics class, it was so much fun and after an hour I was done and had managed to earn 6 activity points. I am so full of energy. Good thing the pool is an inside heated one, otherwise I may have not gone. Also, since we are experiencing extremely warm spring conditions, I walked outside to go home in just my swimsuit with the towel wrapped around me. That is also a big feat for me to be seen in public in a swimsuit. I think I will continue doing this more regularly. Next chance I will get to go will be Friday evening. So until then, I will ride my stationary bike.
a post filled with really super NSVs, good for you, Lee Deb in Northern California <[email hidden]> wrote in message "]news:[email hidden]...

Water aerobics is a wonderful activity. It's what I did a year ago when I first incorporated exercise into my program. Never walked home in my suit though, even on the hottest day. You are one brave woman!! Outstanding NSVs!!

Walking outside in a swimsuit :-) I don't know when I'll do that sort of thing.

I did some water aerobics for awhile before I moved back here and I loved it. There is no pool close by and with DS it's difficult to go very far for any length of time. Enjoy the aerobics, I did!

My Y is only 4 blocks from my house and I could/SHOULD walk there but never do. Guess I assumed everyone lived as close to their Y as I do and has the good sense to use their feet to get there. Although I know that's not true: the parking lot at my Y is always full to overflowing!
Since parking lots can cover several acres of PUBLIC land, I still think you're brave for wearing your suit out to the car! On Tue, 16 Mar 2004 22:41:51 -0800, "Deb in Northern California"

Thanks, and actually my gym is about 2-2.5 miles from the house. And like you said the parking lot is always full, so I had to park in the lot next door, which is for the roller rink and happened to be closed that night.
