Stuff like "you didn't buy my stuff for VD" used to really set me off, but I've learned to step back and look the bigger picture.

I got good brownie points with a simple card and a batch of homemade pesto. Better than Colt 45 IMO: "Works every time."

Huh? I make dinner (and not just hotdogs, we're talking Chicken Marsalla, Shrimp Scampi, Jambalaya, etc.) every night and I don't even get an acknowledgment that its good after everyone has cleaned their plates!
