plated' (nickel? stainless maybe? are sockets and eyelets 2-pieces?)

Seem pretty lightly silver anodized: doesn't take much pressure on my
multimeter probes to break through (I can't break it on a red-anodized
Mavic CXP 33, or a Rigida black rim, by way of comparrison). Which
reminds me Mr. Brandt: what were your conclusions on tyre blow-off?

The Araya rim you linked to is not a 700c rim. Apparently it is 24".
That would limit the customer base right there.

Another one, irratatingly available either machined, anodized, with
sockets and eyelets, or unmachined, polished with only eyelets.
