Chris Clark won the women's 2000 US Olympic Marathon Trials and trained almost exclusively on a treadmill. She lives in Alaska and couldn't train outside due to the snow. Ann Trason (superwoman ultramarathoner) also uses a treadmill a lot.
Yes, but AS A SECOND CHOICE, not first, and she'd do much better if she trained on real roads.
