My daughter and I had a walk to Black Fell via Tarn Hows today. It was
a bit grim at times and icy cold on the top - we could see there was
snow on Fairfield and the higher fells. This was Connies first full
Wainwright - I think she did excellently. A piggy back was only
required on part of the descent, not bad really! Photo's are posted:

Thanks, it was a big walk...further than I remembered!

Thanks Fran, I didn't think we would see any more snow this year.

4? Are you going to be at the expedition on the 23rd? Emily
will have just turned 5 by then. Perhaps if one small girl
can keep going t'other one will as well. I'm quite determined
to get there if I can. I wonder if I can get a half day's
holiday from school on the Friday for my offspring?--
If you can keep your head when all around are losing theirs...
then you've failed to grasp some important aspect of the
situation. -
....of course, thats what you are there for!
-
No, I won't be there sorry. I'm sure Emily will do it with plenty of
encouragement.
