Today I... (brag thread)

I rode over the NY Newburgh-Beacon Bridge today on my Nimbus 36.

Nothing really to brag about, it was almost perfectly straight and
level for 3 miles across and back. The only worry was a possible fear
of height feeling, but that never kicked in. Nice views of the river
and towns. A good ride, and change of scenery.

today I got over the fear of down...what I mean is that I've been able
to crank grab and hop up to rubber on several obstacles in a row
without issue and when I get to the top I always have problems hopping
back down...even if its only the height of 1 or 2 stairs...I could do
curbs but not much more. Well after riding narrow curbs I realized
that I could do still stands a bit better and have been jumping off of
benches and 3 stair height things to the ground and just landing in a
still stand without a problem. Also, I've been using stairs to hop
down one at a time to get over the fear of hopping downward.

i think i think too much sometime :p

I don't know if I should be bragging about this...but it was kinda
funny.

Today, while riding Muni with Terry up in Santa Barbara I was riding
along and fell off.

Rather than a simple dismount however, I fell off the side of the
trail, and slid down about 20 feet

Kinda hurt....but VERY funny and entertaining

I just wish we'd taped it...

Haha that was a cool "slide" down the mountain side, but you took it in
stride! Just missed the poison oak too, but it wouldn't really matter
anyway since you're immune!:p Great job today Kyle! The others there
today Eyal, Josh, Dennis and another guy (sorry can't remember his
name) and they did the full 6 mile DH run.

Kyle's mom (hiking along) and I decided since this was his very first
Muni experience, it would be better just doing the 3 mile loop, which
was still pretty darn technical! This was my first time doing this
"Cold springs" trail, but it won't be the last! Kyle should be posting
some pics in a hhwhile! :D

Today i jumped a 5 stair. each stair was only about 1 foot in depth and
the drop was 3 feet. I didn't make it past all 5, but landed on the
5th, and rode down the bump of the stair.

I had a huge sense of pride and accomplishment. tomorow, im catching it
on camera.

Today I acted stupid, rode to skate park, coasted in a circle, managed
to transition into stand up wheelwalking for the first time, jumped a
staircase, rode backwards one footed up a hill i was gliding down at
relatively high speed, got kicked out of the library, did a few leg
wraps, worked on unispins, seat drags, and sideways wheel walking, rode
a wheelie on a scooter and collapsed from exhaustion.

haha.
