Forecast seems to suggest it might hang around for a couple of days for
anyone lucky enough to have any holidays left :-(

Actually it's now snowing furiously in Shropshire (settling even) which
is totally agin what all the forecasts said was going to happen. Brown
Clee is white - well, the bottom 25%, the rest is completely invisible
in the snow/clouds.

Why did you feel it necessary to poke yourself in the eye with a tree,
surely something smaller and cleaner would have had the desired
effect?

I normally wear specs, but cos it was pissing down, used contacts

Actually I'm a big fan of the MRTs. I don't doubt for one moment that
the media hype up the criticisms of rescuees whenever they get the
chance. Judging by their websites, they do waste a lot of time
looking for people who've given the wrong location - the conclusion
there is obvious. But there's a terrific number of damaged ankles. I'd
love to know what proportion of those ankles were encased in boots.
The best site is LAMRT's - the guy who writes their report is a real
wit, as has been mentioned here before.
