The Thread about Nothing....

Merry Christmas, cunz. How is everyone? My dodgy knee was average over Winter, so I've only done 9,225km so far this year.

Ah yeah, I got ~9,500km out a rear 25mm Vittoria Rubino Pro Graphine 2.0, which I reckon is awesome. I was between 71kg and 74kg during that time. In the old days, when I was over 85kg, I was lucky to get 3,000km out of rear tyre. How interesting!! :D

I'm currently at 9,729 km. I had two sizable breaks in training due to COVID and a bad back. That's the most training that I have been capable of in many years. There were two years when I couldn't even manage a 1000km. Those years sucked.

I returned to racing after a seven year break. My power numbers aren't very impressive, but I did quite well in the Interclub series. That feeling you get at the end of a race when it's game-on is absolutely awesome.

Two flat tyres. One was a pinch flat, and I had the wrong toolkit with me, so I had to hitch a ride. I got picked up by a little 90-year old. I reckon she was wondering why the hell she had stopped to pick up a 'young' man. I could see her visibly relax when I said who I was, as she knows my wife's family. The second flat tyre happened after I had pumped up the tyre but before I had started my ride.

When I was riding home one day last week, I was thinking about how I was gunna brag to one of my Beach Road mates that I'd gone all year without a puncture. Sure enough, about ten minutes later, a nail went right through my rear tyre, which has only happened to me probably 4 times ever!

This is from the Cycling News Forum: "There are reports his wife was on a bike holding onto the car with Dennis in it at lowish speed about to perform a party trick"

What ma said.

No. I have no idea what happened. Which is why I'm not gonna speculate on it like every other retard on the internet.

Dennis apparently has form as an aggressive **** and possible wife abuser if the speculation over events in Andorra a few years back is true. But....

Neighbours son was in a high profile case running over his ex missus a few years ago. He was charged with murder, reduced to manslaughter and culpable driving. No bail for 12 months. Had form too, used to belt his ex missus before that one, I know, i worked with her. Every **** had an opinion. I thought he go down. Anyway, it got chucked out in court. The whole thing.

I also worked with a woman who ran over her own kid and killed her. Exact same age as my son, born the same day. Accidents, stupid, tragic avoidable ones or otherwise, happen.

It will all come out in the wash. Terrible that Melissa Hoskins is dead and two little girls no longer have a mum. Tragic.

Oh my.... She's even followed up with the clip on Mel Hoskins that she was quoted in from 7 News. Not exactly the way a lot of us would post a tribute, but it's on brand.
It gets even worse. I barely use instagram, don't really get it but got whinged at by a mate and sister to go on it, but I digress. That post came up as a PAID PROMOTION

Did anyone get blown to New Zealand today? Jeepers
Worst of the storm missed me. Morwell got smashed, Traralgon CBD smashed, roof off at the old Target, behind KFC. Power out everywhere but not in my part of town. II only had 15 minutes wind, then reasonably heavy rain for 10 mins.

Bairnsdale and Paynesville copped it too. Saw some videos, was.cyclonic. Mum said outdoor area and courtyards flooded, only mm's off flooding the garage. Never seen it do that before.

About a month ago I got a really localised storm where my gutters overflowed, river of water down the driveway, backyard under water. Rest of town got **** all, BOM rain gauge out at LV Airport 0mm rain.
