how many years back? I've been reading for quite a while and
remember the hilarious stories about Buffy and Shirley and
their travels and travails and a silly dog that went with
them. There was usually a good recipe at the end. J

Oh, just any of the originals. Most of us quite liked the
OT stuff which would eventually get back to cooking. One of
the founders was the one who compared it to sitting around
the kitchen table and trading recipes, tips and personal
stories/gossip. We were all following one of the original
post-er's and his wife as they went through her wait for a
heart transplant, their joy when she got one and the
heartbreak of her death when the heart was rejected. It was
a small group then and we all felt we knew each
other...some of them who lived in the same state used to
get together in person (gasp!) at times. This would have
been almost 10 years ago...95, 96, 97. Yeah, I know, all
things change with time, I was just wondering if any of
that group was still posting.

I miss Blackbeard's postings.

There was just as much bickering back ('95-'97) then as

Steinsapir. I think she died in January '96.

The only person you've mentioned I don't remember back then
is Sheldon. I posted under my university account the few

I miss Mary. I came on in Feb or March of 1997. With a
(gasp!!!) Webtv!!!! I never EVER used HTML and I quickly
learned how to quote, then no one really noticed much that I
was a Webtv'er.

Sigh...wicked step-mother stories ended when Dad passed
away 2 years ago. Now I mostly lurk, post only
occasionally. It's been 7 years....most of the questions
have been answered, ad nauseum.

But I have made wonderful friends that I try to see every
few months, which is great!

I check the ng more out of habit lately than out of
interest.

Damsel, SF, Miche and Curly Sue were all around when I
started reading RFC. I remember the 2 Nancys (Young and
Dooley), Sheldon...who could forget Joel Ehrlich? Steve
Kramer, of course. Bob Young from Texas (whatever happened
to him?) Ed Pawlowski was around back then, still is.
Remember Sharon, who was a Personal Chef, I think she lived
near Lancaster, PA?
