Was the audio flaky last night and completely [censored] on the highlights at
6pm or is it just my tv?

Yeah it was. Unlike last night when it was fine

Whoever did the mixing should be shot. And the job given to me 🙂

  2. On 2006-07-02, Parbs (aka Bruce)
was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea:

Did anyone notice what was written (when view upside down and partly
obscured by Mike) on the ground during Mike's piece to camera before the
    start of the TT?

All I saw was a lot of snow. Why is it that of the 4 TVs and 2 VCRs I
have, the older the TV, the better the reception (my 20+year one picks
up SBS almost perfectly with rabbit ears, the computer card and main
TV connected to the admittedly [censored] roof aerial pick up lots of snow,
but perform worse with rabbit ears)? The VCRs don't pick up anything
useful, and as I went out lastnight, then the VCR was found... rather
    deficient when I got home.

I think Mike's camera man has a mischievous sense of humour.

    Parbs

    No, what was it?🙂

The sponsor was Skoda, but the writing was being viewed upside down and
Mike was standing in front of the Sk. So you get "epo"

Live visuals were dodgy, as was audio, but tonights 6pm wrap was absolutely [censored]. Does SBS's budget include provisions for directional mics? If not lets do whip around and buy one for them.

No it was a bad mix. THe one last night and tonight of some of the same
footage is fine. The audio commentry was far too soft compared with the
audio from the cams. Whoever mixed it was incompetent

  7. the only real problem I have had with the coverage is that David Basheer commentator that comes on before Phill and Paul. Can he be any more boring! its also fairly ovious that he has no idea about cycling or bike racing.

  8. Yea, I hated that aswell, They were interviewing someone which was talking in another language, SBS had a translater however you couldn't tell what the translater was saying because the interview was too loud over the translater.
