  1. Dear Runners,

    Looking your advice:

started to run 1 year ago. currently 28 mpw and 9 miles LONGRUN.
    Have some 10Ks (Best 51:17) and 5Ks ( Best 24:19)
My latest long run (15K) was in 8:45 pace ( a bit fast).
    No injury.

I want to run 3 Half in Sep/Oct and Dec. My goal is to achieve sub-2
    in the dec.

My question is that if I can run 2 half-marathon just in 2 weeks.
    (sep26&Oct10)

I am thinking to try to finish the first one in comfortable pace and
run the second one as a LONGRUN training.

The key race is still the 3rd one (Dec), which I want to get the best
    time.

do you think there is any risk to do that?

    Appreciate your reading.

    Thanks
    Mark

  2. not knowing your training here it goes
    can it be done yes
do you plan on tapering any of your first to runs ?? other than recovery
between races and since you are using them as training and not racing
you should be good to go. injury come from the training and not teh
    racing mostly

Can you? Yes. Should you? No. You are barely ready for one, nevermind two.

if you treat the first race NOT as a race but just as a training run,
then sure, you can do this. then your second race can be where you
really turn it on. just be careful not to get caught up in the
excitement and fast pace of the first race, or you could be hurting in
    the second one.

maybe hold off on registering for the 2nd one until after the first,
just in case you decide to really go for it in the 1st one, then you can
skip that 2nd one if you don't feel you are ready for it.

if you haven't done any HM's yet, why the burning desire to do two in a
row? best to do one well and then rest and heal (and see how it goes)
than to overdo it and hurt yourself, possibly messing up the chance to
    do the 3rd.

  5. Thank you all, Cam, Dan and zilla,
    Appreciate all your advice.

I think I'd better change my plan. most likely I will not go for the
    2rd one to avoid injury.

    Happy Running.
