Could this be one of LANCE's legacies? Before 2003, how many times has
    it happened?

  3. Just as Pena said he wanted to do it to help out, jens seems the sort that
    would do the same.

The team should be giving him a push up the hills with his feet on the
handlebars. I don't understand this lack of respect. Unbelieveable.

The clock doesn't care who you are. CSC cares about the clock.

It's about sacraficing to increase your teams chances.

Good on Jens. That's a real team player and a team that's willing to
    put emotion aside.

I remember Thomas Voeckler doing the same last year.

CSC clearly has had a plan that was solely focused on Basso. No support for
the yellow jersey unless it was a true GC contender.

As it should be when your GC man is a true contender as Basso proved
last year - podium spot and constant fly in LANCE's ointment.

Let's hope he recovers tomorrow and give LANCE a run for it.

Exactly. They're not going to defend something that's hopeless.
Knowing it will take EVERYTHING and more to get their top guy to the
    GC podium.

I hope so, but I doubt it. Its tough to peak twice in 2 months; and before
he got sick he was going for the giro win.
