Hey folks-wasn't sure where to turn for help with this. Completely serious, and in need of some good advice.
My best friend has decided to completely 86 himself from "chemical enhancement supplementation". Ahem. He's been cycling for 15 years., as well as recreating with G. He plans getting through it with the use of Nubain, which I hate, but says that he needs something to help him along with what we both know will be a phenomenally tough year. My question: is there a website, a newsgroup, an underground "help" network that can help him? He's a scientist for the government, hence, can't get any "legit" help without it affecting his status. I'm pretty concerned for him. The longest he has gone between cycles was six months, and two months into it, he was a basket case. His fiancee is moving in with him this week, but I'm fearing for both their mental/emotional well beings. Any info would be greatly appreciated. TIA. ~Lola

Tell him to have the surgery. The sooner he accepts he's really a woman, the happier he'll be.

Your friend is a classic addict. He will not quit drugs of any kind without professional help.
Now here is where you protest that I'm wrong, I don't know him, how could I judge him like that, etcetera.

Withdrawal from steroids == drug addict? I think they are different, but then again, I'm hardly an expert.
Did you miss the mention of "Nubain" in the OP's post???
"He's been cycling for 15 years, as well as recreating with G. He plans getting through it with the use of Nubain, which I hate, but says that he needs something to help him..."
Sounds like some sort of punchline to a joke told by addiction recovery specialists. The guy's classic.
Unfortunately, I'm not a troll. Honestly looking for some real help. I obviously came to the wrong place. Didn't know where to go, but not here. Sorry if I offended all your sensibilities. Not exactly a subject one can breach with their general practitioner or pal that doesn't lift, ya know? Again, sorry I brought it here.

Can't you guys spot a classic,(but brilliant)troll?

"Sorry, sorry, sorry"? best you do move on, you'll get eaten alive here. But again I assert you are a troll. Only a moron would say something like "Not exactly a subject one can breach with their general practitioner or pal that doesn't lift" and I'll ask "why not?" who else would you talk about it with but a licensed professional? You think weightlifters are addiction specialists? Well they ARE, but not in a good way like a medical professionals. This isn't the place to seek advice on getting OFF roids, but a great place to get them, and advice on taking them.
Hey Kathy, how many names have you got since I last saw you around?

I thought it was a different sort of steroid. What do I know? I don't even drink alcohol.
Don't you ever ask yourself, "Why do we have the enzyme alcohol dehydrogenase?"
