Runlog comes first to mind, but it sounds like any of the dozens that have come out over the years. Take a look at runnersweb.comrw sw.htmlOpen ↗ and see if anything jogs, cute pun, your memory. I don't know if everything on this list is free.

RunLog has run on two of my XP machines. One was an upgrade from 98 to ME to HP and the other was a virgin HP home edition.

BTW I use a program called RunCoach to log my runs. You can download a demo version to try. It wasn't very expensive to register for the full version either.
