RR: Yesterday

You can see the grass but the mouns are still melting
which make for one dirty bike. Shower time bike frist then me.

based on the site's schedule.
Ah well. Went for a snowy hike upstate. Highly recommended.

I had my Rudy Projects on. When I fell the stick went under my glasses
and straight up under my eyelid. When I stood up the stick was actually
hanging from my eye. If I didn't have the glasses it probably would
have gone straight into my eyeball. Short of wearing full-on goggles,
nothing would have stopped it from happening.

I went to Will's Eye Hospital here in Philly, yesterday during lunch to
get it checked out. Just a minor irritation and no scratch to the
cornea. They gave me some antibiotic drops and it feels much better today.

Dang, I thought you were just joking. You very lucky!

I nearly had my eye poked out by my surfboard. It came flying out of the
water like a torpedo... wham, right into my upper eye lid... just like
yours. Damn thing took forever till it finally stopped bleeding.

stranded some cars? Lucky for me it was on your side!

Yeah it is some weird weather lately. I skied Monarch yesterday (in a
raging blizzard) and it was unusually warm, like 30* in the morning, but
as the storm took hold the temps dropped quite a bit. They got another
19" last night...

I think I burned this bug out of my system. Pretty nasty, only the cats
and my daughter seemed to have been spared. If my son is well enough to
go to school tomorrow, I'll try to hit Monarch.

I actually never skied the park at Ricochet - that was that pointy rock
at the very top of High Anxiety. Terrain parks just don't grab my
interest like deep powder and boulders and cliffs do.

I'm sure it will still be great tomorrow. We skied Gunbarrel first and
last run yesterday and it was great for first run and even better for
last run!

Well, I grew up in Southern Michigan and have skied my share of manmade
ice. I'm done with that now and feel I've gotten my fill. Powder on the
other hand is a lifelong addiction. The more I ski it, the better it
gets, and the cravings get stronger and stronger...
