  1. After dropping the dog off at the groomer this morning, I figured I was
so close to Kings Grant, how could I not ride. I had a little more
than our before I would be considered missing, so the goal was to see
how much I could accomplish on the singlespeed in one hour. Granted
this place is flat, but it made for a good workout.

The trail was nice and frozen.

This place is really best in the winter when the sand is frozen. In the
summer it's like riding on the beach.

I tried to work in as many "hills" as I could to get some kind of
workout. The trail was very fast, and being all alone felt pretty good.

A thin sheet of ice covers the cranberry bog. I stop in my little
fortress of solitude and ponder the day.

Twelve miles in 45 minutes and without switching a single gear. I can
    live with that.

  2. You continually convince me that I live in the wrong part of the
commonwealth. Always enjoy your pictures, and glad you are liking the
    singlespeed.

Are you going to Jim Thorpe for the festival in June?

Tomorrow the singlespeed goes to Fair Hills NRMA in Maryland. This will
be the true test for me since it's way more ups than downs and I'll have
to keep up with the geared folk.

I paid to go last year and never did. I don't think I will be going
this year because I am going to Idaho in August and I am doing the
Allamuchy 24 in September. This is in addition to my normal biz trips
to La Jolla and Vail in July. If I wasnt to stay married, I can't keep
    going away.

  4. Jim Thorpe was a football player that had a town named
after him. Theres a big battle going on between the town and his family
of american indians from Oklahoma on who should own the body which is in
the ground in PA. So its something to watch close to who wins Jimmy boy.
It could be the whole future of the little town. But who needs to wait
    for the party.

Careful, you're replying to Bobby's staunchest ally. He might try and
hook up with you in JT like he did with "Ivy" up in Erie. Read their
    encounter here:

Scroll down to the review from Ivy, Westfield, NY. What a stud Scott
    turned out to be.
