I am glad to see that there is now a "report spam" button on posts.
What do you guys think? Or has it been there for years and I'm just ignorant ๐

1st time i've ever seen it. I was thinking it's for those "make money w/o leaving your house" schemes. I have seen a couple of those threads started. They (the threads) are more of an irritant than anything else.

I'm hoping that green tea isn't encompassed w/ one of those "make money w/o leaving your house" schemes. I hate those. They [the schemes] are more of an irritant than anything else. particularly when your trying to enjoy a cup of green tea and watching sanford and son on tv. land.
I like green tea to Dave๐

Aaaah, I'm a little bit wiser now than I was a few minutes ago. Something new every day. Steve - you, being an administrator, may be able to answer a question. What happens if we press the button? I was going to try reporting myself to see if it got me kicked off, but you may be able to save me the bother. If someone reports spam using the button, does a little flashing light appear back at International Rescue and an administrator is promptly despatched to do a recce run over the thread, or does it automatically freeze the cpu of the perpetrator? I find it difficult to resist pushing buttons to see what happens, and you may be able to save me from hurting myself.
Thanks,
Eoin

Hi Eoin
If you click the report spam link you're taken to a page that allows you to submit a complaint about the post in question. Whatever you type here is sent to me and a few other people who help run the site. If its spam i'll usually prune the users posts and then delete or ban the spammers account. I also send a complaint to the ISP/webhosts of repeat spammers.
cheers

Thanks, Steve. I was kind of hoping that, by pushing the button, I could cause a meltdown of the computer of anyone whose view I disagreed with. Not to worry.
Ballarat must be getting a bit cool now, is it? I've only been there once when I drove my mate's '68 VIP Valiant across from Perth on my way to Unzud. I decided to fly from Melbourne as the old VIP's weren't well known for their ocean-passage-making abilities. Ballarat's a nice town.
i watch sanford and son with my elementary school age son. my wife finds this innapropriate but i feel it teaches him the cultural awareness of an era.
plus it is pretty durn funny.

tried the cheap chinese special gunpowder variety? drink it for taste though.
and caffeine of course.
fact is, black tea supplies the same amount of bioavailable antioxidants as green.

I've been watching that show since I was 7 or 8. I do not find it in any way innapropriate, but like you said; it's pretty durn funny๐

Ah yes. The green gun-powder variety. Hand rolled & when it is brewed, it unfold's. One of my favorites &, as you have indicated, inexpensive ๐ Tastes good too ๐

Agreed, Sanford & Son is very clean, in it's humor. I must've watched 5 season's worth, over the year's. Seems a little quaint now though, due to the old filming technology. The acting is still par-excellance ๐
