It depends what you want and how hard you ride. If you want a lockout, maybe you want to look at
the LBS' Float RL. You say you're real experienced, so maybe you don't want the lockout - so don't
get a Float RL.
The 5th Element and Swinger shocks are SPV designs, no lockout because they're supposed to (at the
very simplest) eliminate pedal bob, unless you're thrashing the ranks...something an experienced
rider doesn't do.
If I were 235 and rode anything more than a little bit hard, I'd get a coil shock...and the 5th
element coil is a nice, and by all reports, effective design.
It seems anymore that Fox, 5th E, and Romic are the only real choices in shock replacement. I
understand the Romics to be better for harder riders, and you can decide between Fox and 5th by
figuring to what you want the shock to do.
