qu-ax trials unicycle

Which Qu-Ax trials unicycle is he getting, the square taper one or the
splined one? The splined one is a very good price for the strength, I
dont have any experince with the unsplined one though.

In france, lots of people ride Qu-ax unis...
Don't purchase a square tappers one (qu-ax cross 20'😉 if you intend to
drop higher than one foot. the red hub makes it recognisable. On the
other hand the "yellow hub" one is splined and rock-solid... the main
drawback with this uni is its weight, way too heavy for trials high
performance.

he is planning on getting the red hub. i recommended that he got the
better one but he is not willing to pay more than £130. turns out that
he won't be doing big drops for a while as he can't hop yet.

I've owned a Qu-ax Trials 20" non-splined hub (its red) since I bought
one at BUC. I researched a lot before buying it - I fully recommend it.
It amazed me how much difference a lightweight machine really makes (my
last 20" was a heavyweight Pashley).

Plus points:
- light weight
- comfy saddle
- Big volume Maxis Creepy Crawler tyre
- It looks damn cool 😎

Minus points:
- No 'nose' on saddle, but the bumper is just big enough to hook 4
fingers into for hopping.
- Not a splined hub

The cranks might have felt a bit funny due to the dog end cranks (I'm
sure theres a better, technically correct term but I don't know it).
