It's a great day for riding ... but I have to be out at Victoria
Uni this evening supervising a VO2max/lactate test on one of
the lads, so I had to ride the motorbike ... Poo. Not enough hours
in the day.
Lots of bikes commuting today along St kilda rd, including the
[censored] redlight shooters - 3 of 'em, straight through
a pedestrian light *while* peds were crossing. I
can understand (and do myself!) shooting a red at night
or in the middle of nowhere if the pushbike hasn't tripped
a mag sensor in the road, but this is quite a different thing ..
I did suggest to one of them that he pay attention to the road
rules .. fat chance it'll make a difference ..
Further Poo, Cam (HCC, one of the lads who was in the crash at the
HCC club champs) has a dislocated shoulder, will be off the bike
for "some time".
But, it was a good race at Glenvale on Sunday, clean racing, only
one loony swerver (some git in BikeNow kit that needs a bollocking!)
in the B grade field, and it felt good to actually *finish* a
race - I DNF'd at Crib Pt on Saturday, ending a dismal road season
in the most appropriate and consistant way I could!
Next year ....
