I was just about to put the photos from my latest trip up to my website when it occurred to me that it might be fun to give you a little test first. So here are three of the photos, see if you can work out where they are...

Aha. It's a tarn, not a lake or a pond nor yet a puddle... therefore it's probably in Cumbria. Yes?
I'll leave a bit of space in case someone doesn't want to see my answers yet!
.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Almost there... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. The tarn is Blind Tarn, not sure which summit it is (not been up to the top of that area for quite a while), but I'll guess the Old Man.

Congrats to RW and Simon for identifying the tarn - it is indeed Blind Tarn. RW is also quite close with the gridref.
You're partly correct Fran about the word "tarn" being a clue - I should have said "name the tarn/llyn". However I may have (mistakenly) asked for the "tarn" even if it was in Wales.
None of you have got the summit right yet though - it isn't The Old Man of Coniston or Ill Bell (nor indeed Fred - what do you call Welsh mountains Fran, Ffred perhaps?).

You didn't ask me where it was - you just asked me to name it. So I did. I was sort of hoping that if you pulled 'Fred' out of the envelope I'd get to keep the summit :-) -- To reply see 'from' in headers; lose the domain, and insert dots and @ where common sense dictates.
Can't see any in the background that I find terribly obvious, but working from a possible Blencathra in the far distance, it could work out as being Wetherlam. If I'm right I consider it pretty good going, since I've never been up there!

I've seen that cairn but I'm ubggred if I can remember where.

I am not very good at recognising anything but I have to say that it reminds me very much of Wetherlam.

You have lead me to conclude with the help of google that it is Swirl How. I've never been there either.
