She sure did give plenty of clues as to the fact that Amira is a child. This is from the original post. "They took her and Rich to the hospital in the ambulance, and Arthur followed in our van with the carseat, with an extra set of clothes for her, some
food for Rich and her soft doll. "

OK am I the only dumb one here?
Assume will make an ass out of U and Me.
I just wonder how many other people here knew the post was about t child?

Time to stand up and be counted!
Calling 911, an ambulance, paramedics...all mentioned before the doll and the clothes. All clues that it was a child or another human at least.

I knew Amira was her daughter. Which makes it a lot scarier than having the same thing happen to a pet. And I'm saying this as someone who likes animals more than people. 🙂
Thank you Debbie. The point I was trying to make was that despite what we went through, I consider it nothing compared to what Ranee went through - it just gave me some small understanding of how terrifying it must have been. And the posts since then debating her posting style, criticizing how she must have talked to 911, whether it was a pet - I never cease to be amazed. Why can't people just say "I'm glad" and not be turds <G>. Oh, well - it's like a family Thanksgiving dinner, I guess - we're all acquianted with those. (I can be a turd too, I guess!)
-- The Doc says my brain waves closely match those of a crazed ferret. At least now I have an excuse.
"Please, make sure that Amira will have no ill effects from her choking incident" is what I shouted into space, hoping that it would have some effect. Is an Atheist turning into an Agnostic?
And thank you again for your prayers. She is doing just fine, most of the exhaustion has worn off and we're just watching for respiratory problems.
Regards, Ranee

When the "victim" is so incredibly helpless, the situation is magnified greatly. In light of the last few days I can imagine, but only partially, what you must have been going through.
Thank you, and I am glad to hear your daughter is recovering. God bless you all as well.
