in my previous life - ooo, 6 months ago now i used to set up all customers with nildram's adsl
offering - was excellent with few problems but if we had one, usually on install from bt's side it
was quickly resolved - once up and running was fine.

personally i use telewest blueyonder, my bt phone line is made of wet string and not adsl capable
but ive had excellent experience with them too

I've been using NTL Broadband for a couple of months now, and I'm extremely happy with it. It's only
the 150K service, which is £17.99p/m and seems to cap download speed at around 30kb/s, but it's been
more than adequate for what I've been doing.

I'm even impressed with their tech support. I hit a nasty during the initial config, and again
yesterday when I switched over from USB to Ethernet, and both times I've found them extremely
patient, polite and competent.

I use NTL 1MB/s circuit - in a LAN of 3 machines (1 is the router and firewall, as well as providing
shared network drives)

Been using NTL since June 2001 (before it was officially rolled out!) - not that many problems all
considered - but it varies from area to area. Where I live 70% of the people are old codgers (there
is an "elderly persons" warning sign outside my street!) who don't seem to have PCs so there's not
much contention

But nearer town in the student/bohemian area it gets slower at weekends/evenings when all the users
go on at once. even so its not that bad.

Customer service still is lacking, but it has improved very slightly recently. NTL have had a change
of top management and are supposed to be improving customer service and making the company "customer
focused". 'Ware flying pigs..
