I've been riding my current bike for nearly a year in extreme comfort
after spending a good length of time adjusting everything for a perfect
fit. I recently had two weeks off the bike due to a nasty cold and
started riding again last Friday. Since then I've noticed a twinge of
numbness down below, as though my fit has gone a little astray... but
nothing seems to be out of place (pardon the pun). Can anyone offer any
other explanation for a sudden change in fit? Muscle tension, body
position adjustment etc??? Ideas appreciated.--

in your two weeks of abscence the gremlins moved your saddle position....
(never know)...
Not having had the treatment ( ie: bollucus intactus) , havnt had the post nik/stitch problem, but do find that after a period off the bike, the bod takes a slight adjustment to get back into that comfy saddle spot over the sit bones...numb nethers are not nice... try to shuffle around and set the butt bones on the broad pads of the saddle and think of your next n..kie...all should be well 🙂
if it doesnt work, maybe you are still suffering from some ailment that has caused the body to take a different position on the bike ...you may need to be checked out and/or have your saddle position re-checked to suit your new body demands.... we keep changing as we age ( or get younger/fitter/fatter/wider).... and two weeks off the bike just might be enough to tell you a change has occurred...
