HELLO, Mr Psychotic in a red late model tray truck (registration number?
Well, it WAS dark in Station St Ferntree Gully at 6.25pm) who
deliberately swerved into the bike lane directly at me, at best to
intimidate, at worst to kill. (I watched you in my mirror).
For the record, my lights were on front and rear, reflective vest as
well, so you have no excuse at all. I'm also a licenced driver of three
decades' experience, and the bicycle is my vehicle of choice. Clearly
not yours.
The next time you decide to act out your psychosis, do it someplace else
than behind the wheel of two tonnes of deadly metal please.

Glad you are okay... wouldn't you love to give these d***heads a tast of their own medicine... I once had a dream that a car was doing that to me... and I produced from my backpack a small grenade launcher that I fired directly into the rear window.... maybe I am a bit psychotic too... best to just keep on ridin!

Regards,The last time I saw someone deliberately swerve at a cyclist they made
the mistake of then pulling up at the bakery a couple of kms down the
road. Obviously didn't think that out too well and were soon surrounded
by grumpy cyclists. Anyone else remember that ? 😉DaveB

months since the last time I got out there and although I can't go this

Not the sharpest of knives these types, are they? See also Surly Dave's Tips for Idiots for another example.

I'll have a word.

You'd like this ACP...taken from an American forum obviously.
" A bazooka? No, but a small rocket launcher..... maybe.Glad you weren't seriously hurt. When much younger and riding motorcycles,
my best buddy and I would go to the Army Navy store and buy some
dis-armed hand gernades. We'd carry one with us and if someone in a car did something stupid
that could have hurt us,we'd ride along side them, and threaten to toss the gernade at them.
One day,my buddy actually threw one in the back seat of a guys car. You never
saw someone stop so fastand dive out of a car. Pretty stupid stuff looking back on it, but I
know the feeling you mustof had toward the driver that cut you off."

Yeah I've been doing the occasional long ride down Beach Rd. Not that
keen on the BR route in winter on my own. I suspect the first climb from
Warrandyte is going to be a shock to the system.DaveB

A coupled of blocks later, I notice he's in hot pursuit as I hit a
medium sized single lane roundabout (about 30m in diameter). I figure
I can't outrun a car, so I keep circling the roundabout, keeping him
on the other side of the island. After the third circuit (just when
its starting to get amusing), his brain clicks into gear and he stops
dead.. at which point I exited behind him and made a hasty retreat
down a back street.Maybe N+1 motorists now hate us (though I think this guy may have
been predisposed)?BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - wish I could have seen that!!!!
