Yeah, there's a couple of ideas there which might work. I've
got a bit of sentimental attachment to this board and well,
I'm sure some of you might understand.

I'd toss it...

UNLESS you use it for veggies only..if you use for
meat...I'd not risk
it. worst comes to worst I'd just trim off the split part
and treat with mineral oil. But it's up to you, weigh
out the cost of the old board, based on risk and
sentimentality, and your take on bacteria factor. And
see where you end up.
