Quoted message said:Does anyone know anything about Wegman's? The first in the area
opened two weeks ago with much fanfare and people literally lined up
outside at 3 a.m. It's a long way from me (way on the other side of
Baltimore). If theres a Wegmans THAT CLOSE your lucky! This is thE store to have.
If they've made it to Baltimore area, thats only about 700 miles more
to go.----

I went to Wegmans today! YIKES!!!
After the shock, I went to the service desk and asked for a map. They
had a nice one with a map on one side and items on the other!
It's less than a wholesale club and more than my Acme market with a
pinch of chaos thrown in, to keep you from leaving.
Avocados were a disappointment at 3 for $5.00??
I'll probably be having skirt steak for the next week (4 lbs. worth).
Cryo-packed (??) in about 3/4 pounds each.
Also got two cases of Pelligrino sparking water and a gallon of Weg's OJ
for $3.00 which is pretty good considering the price of Florida OJ in
the near future!
The whole trip took 2 hours (1 hour commute, 1 hour shopping). I have to
be better prepared. I'm going to write a small aisle map program using
their artwork and products list to make future trips faster, maybe! 😉
It was fun!
