  1. Ah well, not long to July 17th, my first IM after 7 years of Oly and
sprints, been lurking/posting to this wbsite for 5 years now, hello, seen
all the good (Wagner) & bad (ecce) come and go, thought I'd say hello,
    HELLO!!!!
Is this known as taper madness?
Cannot do anything without worrying of it's effect on my recovery!
Cannot think of nothing else but the IRONMAN race to come
Ok thats enough for now, I think I will have to post a bit more, cya

You have been around for a long time. I miss a few of the older posters,
but some have stayed around to post.

I liked Wagner, and miss him. ecce is the atkins racer, isn't he?

Yes! You sit around bouncing off the walls, until you are crazy and all
you want to do is an IM. That's the entire secret theory of tapering.

lol, I feel for you. I get the same way with my own pre-race thoughts.

Thanks for the post and keep us informed.
    Good luck.

Strange how he just dropped off the face of the earth. He never gave up
an argument, even when he was clearly beaten, and then *[censored]*. Hope it
    was nothing bad.

ecce was one of many names used by a troll who came through and posted
garbage incessantly a while back. S/He did a lot of damage to what was
    already a forum in decline.

I'm pleased to say it seems to be coming back to life, and I really like
the new crowd! Hope more of the old timers de-lurk!

Definitely. The 1st is the worst, but it gets a little better each
    time.

I've gotten to where I can really enjoy the taper and the pre-race
activates. Only jitters are normal race morning stuff.

Be sure to post a race report - something that used to be a regular
    feature here.

    Good luck.

I remember him telling us that he was bored of the arguments.

I tried to email him a year ago, but his email bounced. I had never
emailed him before, so it would have been unexpected.

    Me too!
    This includes you.

Yes, I too hope that more of the old timers come back to visit. I used to
enjoy Wagners verbal tussles and attitude to it all, didn't he have a
website? Might do some searching later see what I come up with.
Regarding forums the slowtwitch forum is very busy and over here in the UK,
we the Tri Talk forum which is an excellent forum well moderated, and
populated with a very likeable and supporting membership whose words of
support will be ringing in the ears of all those who race. Pop over and have
    a look http://www.tritalk.co.uk/forums/
I will post my race report and will keep in touch, cya all
    Cheers John
