Not a bad show, much better than that disasterous affair
with Shatner.I could do without the weirdo Alton Brown. He's basically
an actor. He said he was doing the job of Hattori. Yeah,
right. Hattori knows what the hell he's talking about. I
was embarassed for Alton when he said Sakai was going to
use rings for a custard. The ring molds had no bottom so
how was he supposed to put a liquid in them?I honestly don't think there is one Food Network chef that
is on the level of the Iron Chefs. I have so much respect
for Sakai, Michiba, Morimoto, and Chen. Those guys are
studs. Last night's show seemed fishy (hehe). They had
Flay winning everything, including presentation. I thought
Sakai's presentations were much better so I was surprised
to see them give it to Flay. Can't say anything about the
taste, though.
Did you take a good look at the judges? That Simon guy was
in the show with Shatner as a challenger was he not? They
are very lame as far as tasting is concerned.
This would mean something if they were to pick Julia
Child, Jacques Pepin, and roll in the Frug. Now THAT would
be judging!
And I bet you money that they could not pay them off to
vote for Flay or Batali. What a circus.
