Next week is the offspring's birthday. I haven't an idea of what to get him. Well I do - he's been hinting in a less than subtle way for a Dolan time trial bike and/or some carbon tri-spoke wheels. It is apparent my offspring resides on Planet Zog... So, what to get him that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg??? Inspiration guys - on what to get a cycling mad teenager??
Cheers, helen s

What sort of £'s Helen? <£25, ,£50, ,£100?
I'm sure we can come up with a good idea between us all.
Just thinking out load...repair stand, book on wheel building (Jobst), Lance Video, 2003 TdF video, team kit from Probike, Heart Rate Monitor, Cycling game for PC, bib shorts :-)

He'd like that - not that he fancies Nicole Cooke, but he really does admire her as a cyclist. As a mother, there is absolutely no female that is good enough for my boy, but perhaps she's better than most. Not that I'm over-protective in any way you understand ;-)

Got a couple of books about the TdF... he's dipping in and out of the Obree book, the original Lance book and also a couple of books on Tom Simpson.
Thanks for the ideas!

I'll have a think for more ideas but it's difficult.
