  1. Congratulations Cubit! It's a great feeling, isn't it?? 🙂

According to the CDC, the range of BMI for normal weight is: 18.5 to 24.9

The CDC online calculator shows that my BMI is now: 24.4

    (based on 5' 8" and 160.8 lbs.)

    http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/calc-bmi.htm

If I were 122 pounds, I would be at 18.5 and the low end of "normal."

  2. As I was gaining in the upper ranges of weight, I shifted to a diet
emphasizing the use of steamed rice. Contrary to stereotypes, I was
fighting to lose weight, as I gained a bit more, and then a bit more....
Over time, the sky is the limit.

Roger I have noted your recurring sniping at me. I have suspected that you
    are jealous.

To be clear. I have never been a binge eater.

Is it so hard to believe that person who has unusual good results, while
losing weight, may have had an unusual process while gaining weight?

When you accused me of pigging out, I suspect you are using projection.

So, after having all this experience with weight loss, you think you got to
300+ lbs without eating too much? I never said a word about binge eating, I
said pigging out. In my world, that's simply eating too much. Binge eating
    is another matter.

What? Lots of people have lose your type of weight....it's not
atypical....you'll be atypical once you've stayed at your goal for a few
    years.

I don't see what's unusual about your having gained the weight, either.
Many, many people do that, too. Mostly by overconsumption.

Of course! That's how I got to 367 lbs. Hence, I was speaking from
experience and I have no problem admitting that I pigged out. However,
that's not the same as "binge eating".

Have you really forgotten from whence you came, Dave?

  12. Yup. It is a time to get other issues of my life to catch up to my
weightloss success. I wouldn't want to be "all dressed up with nowhere to
    go."

I see you are back to great progress this month. Early in the month looked
slow, but the body does that sort of thing.

According to the CDC, the range of BMI for normal weight is: 18.5 to 24.9

The CDC online calculator shows that my BMI is now: 24.4

    (based on 5' 8" and 160.8 lbs.)

If I were 122 pounds, I would be at 18.5 and the low end of "normal."

Yes. Start incorporating some form of regular exercise, tennis,
    swimming, hiking, etc.

Actually, it was ME that was slowing my weight loss. I had started
consuming higher calorie foods, and before you know it, my calories
were WAY out of line... still low carb, but very high cal. I searched
and searched Fitday before that bit me in the nose. Now I'm low cal,
and up to 45 g net carbs per day and doing wonderfully. (I was at
40... just bumped up 5 g a few days ago.)

That TOM doesn't help matters, either. That stalled me at the
beginning of the month this time around.

I can't wait to hit my goal weight and start maintenance. I've made
the decision before I started Atkins that this was my WOL and I will
not turn back. I enjoy how I eat. Why change?

Glad to be on this journey with you!

    Nicole
