I think that was two years ago.

One of my favorites! I have to set the DVR to catch it. I also like
the F Word. Show a bit of a different side to Ramsey. He's not quite
as harsh and you see a bit of his family life.

I absolutely cannot watch it, even the commercials. I hate
confrontational, angry, shouting TV reality shows.

I can't watch that show for a minute. The torture, cruelty and rudeness he
displays to the students drives me crazy; who would put up with that stuff
from anyone.
I can't watch the students be humiliated for a TV show.

Hey, they sign up for the project, Ramsay doesn't go looking for them. And
they aren't "students"; they are all young adults claiming to have what it
takes to be the head chef in their own restaurant. "If you can't stand the
heat stay out of the kitchen" was never more true than in an actual
restaurant setting. As for the rudeness, it's all about the ratings.
I had a boss (*not* in a restaurant) who thought nothing of yelling and
cursing at his employees in front of anyone who happened to be around. I
didn't stay there but a lot of my former co-workers had been there for
years. If the business hadn't folded they probably still would be.

The chef lineup is available on the website for this season as well.
Sad to find out (last to know I swear) that one of the chefs from last
season, rachel, died...

They're not students, they're mostly cooks that have been in the
business for a bit and volunteer for this. Yeah, he's crude and rude,
but they did sign up for it and they get their own restaraunt out of the
deal. So they're putting up with what they're probably used to anyway
(from what I've read most head chefs are like this) and getting a coup.

Nancy, I agree with you, but to be honest, I have never watched the
show. I was turned off after watching one of their commercials. If I
want to hear people shouting and screaming, I will wear a bikini to the
beach. lol

(laughing!) You're so funny. I agree with you both, if I wanted
that kind of aggravation, I'd watch The View. Hell's Kitchen
made me grab for the remote.

Oh, that's too bad! Which one was Rachel? Was she the woman who was
buddies with the winner?

It is another good reason for me to have cancelled the Food Network. I am
not at all interested in watching the guy rate and rave at the cheap help.
You can see why he goes from one place to another. He could never supervise
a kitchen staff on his own. No one in their right mind would work for the
guy.

LOL....I agree with both of you. The commercials were enough to turn
me off. I don't need mean-spirited people in my face. I didn't even
like "Married with Children" tv show back when it was popular.

FYI: You can't blame Food Network for this one, it's on Fox.

What are you babbling about? Gordon Ramsay is a reknowned
restauranteur. He OWNS mulitple restaurants, including a Michelin 3
star one in the UK.

At the time that I dropped Food Network (Canada), Ramsey was on too often,
along with a lot of other programs about opening and revamping restaurants,
along with a lot of Unwrapped and other shows that were of very little
interest to me.
