I learnt to swim as a child, but never really learnt to do it properly and
preferred to use a nose clip rather than try and to the breathing properly,
though I had no idea what properly was! Anyway I have now accidently joined
an adult swimming class, I'm English, but live in Korea and don't speak
Korean, I wanted to join a gym so I could go swimming and work out and have
accidently committed myself to a month of thrice weekly swimming lessons for
adults!
We are currently learning to do front crawl "properly", the instructor is
very good to me and mimes everything for me, but I'm having trouble
understanding exactly what he wants me to do breathingwise, I know when I am
supposed to breath and what position my head etc. should be in, but I'm
having trouble with the in, out and what to breathe out of etc. I've been
breathing every stroke rather than every other as I'm pregnant.
Here's what I think I'm supposed to be doing
head in the water, breath out through my nose gently
head comes out, instantly over mouth as if saying "pa", short and sharp
then take a deep breath
Can someone help?
Cheers
Anne
