Flat bar road bike comparison

I'm really not a fan of hybrids, esp. flat bar hybrids. They're ok for a quick jaunt over a couple of miles, but for a long, fast, athletic ride, I believe they are inadequate.

With a flat bar bike, you will be looking to upgrade very soon. Drops provide you with many more hand positions and a much more aero position, when you want it. You can ride on the tops or hoods if you just want to cruise.

Try getting drop bars with a stem that places the bar a bit higher than usual; if you ever want a more aero position in the future, you can simply swap out the stem.

Check out Trek FX, Specialized Sirrus, and Felt Speed. Trek probably has the most complete range with the FX series, but they all have their merits.

Yup, that's a cool one, too.

You should also look at the Fuji Absolute the components on the Fuji are great and it sells for around $950 for the Absolute 1 and $700 for the 2.
