LOL I'm pretty sure if you pay for the lake cruise they don't care if you are a member of the church or not.
Actually my neighbor got me the ticket, I've never been to the church, in fact there are so darned many around here I don't know which church it is, especially since all I was handed was a plain envelope containing the cruise ticket and a round trip bus ticket. I suppose I needn't have mentioned a church sponsored getting up a group to take the cruise... the only thing the church did was book like forty cruise seats and charter the bus, which everyone boarded in the high school parking lot... I think the bus was the important part, or everyone would have had to provide their own transportation, would have cost a whole lot more.
When I was a kid we went camping at Singing Waters in the Adirondacks and there was a camp area and a bar called Minnehaha. Same area Sheldon?
The Adirondacks compose a huge area, millions of acres... must be a zillion camp grounds there... apparently Singing Waters is still going strong, according to their website they're 95 miles from Lake George.
My family used to rent a cabin on Blue Mountain Lake, in the Adirondacks, when I was growing up. For several years, we'd drive up there from northern PA every summer and stay a week or so. Our summer vacation included a trip to "Santa's Workshop" (http://www.northpoleny.com/) and Lake George. I remember cruising aboard the Minnehaha at least once or twice during those years...
It was. The boat originally had a canvas roof, but it was replaced with heavier fibreglass. The deck of the boat was also raised after they put in a bigger engine.
