just out with another name"
"Oh" i mumbles and sort out the prezzie...

So, I googles C-tech and find this...
"C-Tech was originally part of Giant, but while the parent company
still owns 78 percent, it has operated independently since 2000 Dr.
Weng came on board. It has 200 employees, with 22 in its research and
development department in Taipei.

Ninety percent of C-Tech's production is for Giant, though the first
production run of Colnago's non-Italian mid-range carbon frames is
planned for late July or early August."

SO does anyone have any insight to what this frame is when someone else
sells it? The curved stays certainly look typical GIANT, but the CF Lugs
dont (anymore). Colnago seem to do this arrangement on some frames.
The top of the range Learsport Alu/CF frame is a Battaglin in disguise,
so what's this CF beastie?

And could the Dutch be seduced by CF and face the life-altering move to
Shimano? At that price its kinda tempting if the frame is decent. The
wheels, etc are pretty good(ish)
Maybe i could buy one and get it painted partly green? 😄😄
Anyone know how hard/easy it is to repaint (or strip?) a CF frame?

your own brand name on it.......If they are all quality stuff, you might
just have a business of your dreams. Get the father in-law to go into it

Dutchie, BikePro in Surrey Hills has them too if you want to check a
live one out. They are light, well specced out and look good. $ 4,000
for Dura ace, I can relate to the temptation.

That's awfully pretty. As an impoverished student, I'm going to have to
stick with the OCR3 for a while yet, methinks. Besides, the greatest
potential for saving weight lies most definitely with the rider, not the
bike. Not that I'd turn down a Dura-Ace equipped chunk o' carbon like that
if I was given the option 🙂 I've heard stories about Norton Summit Old Rd.
My girlfriend says her father rides up it each year on his birthday, just to
prove to himself that he's not old yet. She's done it a couple of times.

That Battaglin with only minor upgrade bits on it is sellin for the equivalent of $5200 in Switzerland (so approx 8k by the time they import to Oz 😄)
Soundin like a bargain to me!

Kharma is $3000 for the frame, forks and seatpost. There are two models above this the Kredo and the Khan but my budget wouldn't stretch that far. I used my existing wheels just swapped the freehub to campag, and put a chorus groupset ($1500).

I'd be interested to see what you thought of the Azzuri - I couldn't get a test ride in Brisso.

Norton Summit isn't a particularly steep hill, but it's reasonably long.
The old road is steeper at the top, while the new one is steeper at the
bottom.
