Just packing for the Pyrenees. The wife said "Don't forget the
deodorant"(she's not going). I can seem to make her understand that:

    a. It's extra weight
    b. Nobody particularly cares in the mountains

But she insists that I must "smell nice" in the evening!

    What are your thoughts?

My thought is that if your wife thinks you need deodorant, maybe you do.
She's spent more time with you than we have. :-)

Wifey's right. Without the deodorant, how are you going to manage to get
    laid?*

    Long Way Round documentary.

It's possible, but you are narrowing your options (-:

What will you be doing in the evenings? If heading to the nearest bar
or socialising is a hostel then she's right. If pitching your tent in
the middle of nowhere then you're right. If staying in a mountain hut
then she's probably right in theory but everyone else will smell too
    so it hardly matters 🙂

Woman always know best. Do what you're told...

thinking about it, in this case at least they do. Women can smell
sweaty men far more easily than men can...

... and while looking for that I found lots of links that, from the
headlines, seemed to indicate gay men are attracted by sweat. Since
you're married you probably won't want that!

As I learned on the R4 News Quiz last week, recent work suggests men are
more likely to buy the likes of GQ and FHM if they have male sweat
aromas on them. I don't think those publications are aimed at the gay
    market...
