I rode up to 4 adults and 2 kids and 2 unleashed dogs, all totally blocking the trail, and from
300 feet away, they all saw me coming, I yelled 'bike' every 50 feet, which I don't normally have
to with people facing me, and at 50 feet they were still all playing 'Red Rover', just stupidly
watching me, no body moving an inch. I guess they expected me to jump over them. I finally had to
come to a dead stop while -they- walked around me, grumbling.I seem to remember this from high school; as I scurried down the hall, trying to actually make it
from one corner of the school to the diagonally opposite corner without being late for class, I
would come upon cluster after cluster of people walking next to eachother very slowly. In fact, I still find such people in stores and nearly any other indoor semi-public place. They
walk [3|5|7|10] abreast leaving no room for somebody coming the other way.
Same phenomenon occurs in Las Vegas casinos (although I'm not sure WHY I'm always in a hurry to lose
more money 🙂 .
