I saw a report in a newspaper last week telling about a big fight they had. Apparently he had a whole lot of mates over to her house and asked her to get a case of coca-cola for them. 2 days later she gave him a bill for $100 to pay for the coke. He wasn't too impressed but she wasn't willing to pay for his mates. He ended up throwing a scrunched up $100 bill at her.

This was in the newspaper so it must be true.

That sounds pretty immature on both ends.

But not atypical for a couple living together. The thing is, 100 bucks for
them is like, what...10 cents for you and me? I know when I have a lot of
money, I'm giving it away, and paying for everything. Why not give her a
    C-note upfront?

Wonder what made her give him the bill. Maybe he's now treating her like
    some common beyotch?

OTOH, we don't know if this is even true.

Perhaps it was imported coke. With the current exchange rate of the
    dollar...

It wasn't the hundred bucks, she was making a statement that she isn't
his slave. And she won't wait on his friends.

I'll bet his ex would have jumped and gotten the Coke, asap. Sheryl isn't
    Mommy or his ex.

I agree with everything you said, but don't understand the unnecessary
last comment. If we said this every time it applied, the extra band
width could bring down the Internet. It should be part of the rbr FAQ.

Below is the post I responded to:

I was dubious b/c I can't really see how someone throwing a scrunched up
bill at their g/f would get in the newspaper, but patch seems like a
reliable poster. I'll omit the 'is true' comments in future.

With posts with addendums about post veracity...

OK, but I hope this doesn't turn into a trend. I'll have to go with a
general disclaimer that anything I say is as true as I intended it to
be, best that I know, and subject to further clarification if caught
in an out-and-out lie. And nothing is final until they show the video
    tape. To my wife.

Except now, evidently, they are altering that too.

This is why I particularly love the "You are all dumbasses" comment. It's
proven to be true, thus no trailing qualifier is needed.

BTW, in the fashion of modern executives cashing in on stock options, the header
could have better borrowed the phrase: "Crow pumps then dumps Lance?"

No. Kik is too self absorbed. She wanted to be the center of attention so she went out and got attention from a man other than Lance. This was caught on video tape on the home security system. Lance saw it, confronted Kik and tried to forgive her. But she continued to cheat so Lance filed for divorce.

  17. Just for the record, anybody here that want's to crinkle up $100 bills and throw them at me, feel free to do so.....'

Yeah, I think this was a locking of the horns. As Valerius mentioned, she
won't be Lances slave. This is a rock star, and a very big one!

And from what I've read, she comes from a fairly tight, functional family.
Mr. Lance's character isn't changing fast enough, if at all to hold her for
the long haul, IMO. And if she reads LA Confidential in English when it
comes out in 2005, I don't see her sticking around.

I always thought this affair was good to start off with, but that it would
be short and explosive, like shooting up a flare. I never pictured these two
to be hooked up for more then a few years. Based on what? Based on that she
is a rock star, not based on that he is a 6 time TDF winner. I haven't read
Lances book, I'm just not that big of a fan of Lance. I'd be more interested
in reading Maso's books. I did read some of Greg Lemonds books in the past,
but more for cycling tips then for worship.
