  1. I have a Royce BB and Campag Nuevo record 42/52 Chainset the bb is the
correct length for the chainset but without measuring it I am not sure of
    the BB actual length .
I would like to fit a compact 50/35 chainset and keep the existing BB.
Can any one help with a suitable compact chainset recommendation Keeping the
    Royce square taper BB

You're not likely to find one, because modern cranks are all low profile,
Your existing spindle is probably 8-12mm too long for a compact double. You
might be able to find an old 110/74 touring crank that you could ditch the
    granny ring from.

Something like this would probably work:

I'd guess that your existing bb is a 111 or 114 x ISO taper bb. If
that is correct, a Sugino XD crankset will work. I'd think that
    www.yellowjersey.org or
    <http://sheldonbrown.com/harris/cranks.html#11074> can put together
    what you want.

Consider getting a crankset you want and changing the bb.

If it's 111mm the new Centaur compact is propably also an option.

TA or the Campagnolo Centaur will work.

NR used a 114mm non symmetric, Centaur uses a 111mm symmetric, and will
work with this BB. It'll be about 3mm offset to the right.
