It's doubtful I'll run in more than a singlet, shorts and light gloves and maybe a light hat unless it's ridiculously cold and windy I don't mean 50 when I say cool, if it's somewhere in the 20's to 40's I'd be happy.
Please pass the knees! ;-)
My little tendons would be twanging hi C at those temps.
Kind of an understatment. I'd be completely devastated. Its so cruel that many months training comes down to a couple of hours where anything can go wrong and that to get to your best you have to risk failing entirely.

--The consolation is that that training is not completely wasted. It is only wasted if I quit. If I resume after a break and train hard again, that training forms quite a base of fitness. I am in the shape of my life right now and will run some great races in the next year. I could take a month completely off right now, then go out and beat most of my PRs. Andy Hass
It may be too late for the Olympics, but it's never too late to set a WR. Unlike the Olympics, that doesn't have a 4 year cutoff and doesn't require actually being anywhere special to do it; even a small town (but USATF-sanctioned) venue would do.
