Fascism has nothing to do with it. I respect the office of the President and as a consequence anyone who occupies that office. Does that mean I necessarily approve of whoever is occupying the office or of their policies? Ask me what I think of Clinton, or better yet Carter. But I don't resort to calling them stupid idiotic childish names because I don't think they have "earned" my respect. They are automatically entitled to that by virtue of their election to the office. It really boils down to a respect for the political system that we have and indeed for the American people.
I do note that those of you on the extreme left are quite deficient in the quality of showing repspect to anyone occupying any office. Or are you just cry babies and whiners when you don't get who you want. I put up with the likes of Carter and Clinton for years and years. You can put up with Bush, and if the war goes well and the economy rebounds, you can count on another 4 years.
