    Today's b'fast was:
    - sage pork sausage (2 small patties)
    - nut bran muffins, with a smear of neufchatel
    - scrambled eggs with diced green chiles
    - 100% Columbian coffee

I finished off the last of the crumbled roast beef, scrambled up with two
scrambled eggs served open faced on a plain English muffin with Processed
American Cheese Food Product and two tall glasses of "stirred up myself!"
    chocolate milk.

One thing I have learned from attending hunter jumper shows and
dressage shows, the food is a lot more interesting at the dressage
    shows.

The booze is better at the hunter jumper shows πŸ˜‰

Booze? What booze. The only time I have ever seen booze at a hunter
jumper show is at the end of very long days. Out barn hosts a Trillium
    and a Challenge show.

There were always big parties after the shows I participated in. Lots of
nibbly type food also. Lots of crudite' and small sandwiches etc. Sort of
    like a big happy hour.

I do not drink and ride. A few years ago my son came home for a visit
and brought his new girlfriend. I had a few beers before my 6 pm
lesson and was planning to be home by 7:30 and we would have a nice
dinner. That was the night I got thrown and broke a collar bone.

2 things I learned early on. 1) Never drink and ride and 2) Never wear
rings, bracelets or necklaces when riding. I was barrel racing one
saturday afternoon. I had a couple of drinks someone had stashed in their
trailer. Naturally I fell and my ring and bracelet got caught on the
saddle. Broke my wrist and almost lost a finger. Never again... ever.

Heh. My flyball club did a demo during intermission at a local equine
event. We ran the dogs then offered to let members of the audience try
it out. Nothing like trying to tell some drunken cowboy how to run a
    ballistic border collie...

"No, look, grab his harness with your right hand..."

"No, your other right... Okay. Don't lean over him like that, he'll
throw his head back and hit you in the nose.

    Keep your face back!

    Oh. Heh. Sorry."

Border collies... I love them. My mutt missy is chow and border collie
mix. Boy... is she a handful. A border collie lives down the street. It's
a scream watching the dog herd the three tykes it owns around the block. It
is sooooo funny. Cody (dog) will herd them to the side of the street when
a car comes by then stand between them and the car. It's his job πŸ˜‰

We have Mollie the Border Collie ( a Humane Society turn-in) and her
self-imposed job is to scare the birds out of the bird feeder every
morning. The birds fly into the tree ferns with Mollie waiting below.
She then decides to do other jobs and the birds fly down. Every
single morning. It sometimes reminds us that the birds haven't been
fedπŸ˜‰ as she hops around under neath..

They need to herd, but Mollie does it aerially. What a trip.

I've got two BCs and a JRT. It is an active household to say the least.
Both breeds need a job and develop various weirdnesses when
    under-employed.
