My only point is fat drinkers may have some hope for weight loss with LC. I
will continue to post my results as they are still questionable. Again, time
will tell.
Our science differs in depth, and I admit to living by my PANT SEAT. You
see, I (think) brakes are improved by resulting WEDGIES. Conversely, I
(think) tune-ups successful, if PANTS are returned more rightfully to
position. I tend towards scrutiny where impressions cease. When I speak my
mind, it is only what I (think) and often originates within my PANTS.
Disregard at will. I'm only talking out my PANTS.
I have no greater depth than my PANTS, and cannot follow what you have
suggested below about eating my booze calories. I only hope to loose
significant weight without giving up my last enjoyable vice.
I do this drinking while doing things. I recently dug a sewer pipe trench. I
am planting vegetables where no garden existed previously. These are rows
which are simply trenches with the soil tossed right back in. I rarely wear
the seat of my PANTS after working my desk job. Maybe I could eat this corn
instead of drinking my whiskey tea, but I didn't want anything else to eat.
I wanted a few drinks while persueing my interests.
Often, given time, what I (think) earns me a kick in the PANTS. Until such
time, I will continue subjecting my experiences and thoughts for varying
regard. I will answer any questions anyone may have pertaining to food,
drink, booze, calories, carbs, or activity. However, I will abstain from
further deep science discussions, preferring instead to wear the knees of my
PANTS.
I'm going outside to drink in the sunshine and drink in the sunshine and
soil my PANTS.
Later on fat folks.

For whatever evaluative clarity may be gleaned, I will further explain:
Yes, I started this two weeks at 273lbs. I list 280 because this is my
highest weight,
which coincided with a new years resolution. I did INDUCTION earlier

and I did not have any alcohol for the two weeks. I lost 8-10lbs. The

The above is still unclear to me. But it sounds like your basis for
thinking you should lose 10lbs every two weeks is based on your
experience during the first 2 weeks of induction which you did LC back
in Jan, before falling off the wagon. And you say you lost 8-10 lbs.
Now you apparently are starting over again, but using alcohol during
induction. This time, you lost 6lbs., which is not unusual either.
Quoted message said:From that limited data from one person, I would say it's impossible to
conclude anything about alcohol and weight loss. Especially since some
days you were drinking 9+ drinks. Just the calories alone amount to
half of what many consume for an entire days menu. So, the same effect
could have resulted if you consumed those additonal calories from a
food, rather than the alcohol. In short, I don;t think your experience
has any relevance for most people that have 1-3 drinks occasionally
while trying to lose weight.

Quoted message said:The fact that you "only" lost 6 lbs in 2 weeks vs your expected 10lbs
doesn't prove anything one way or the other about alcohol. Weight
loss rates vary during different time periods for everyone and 3lbs
per
Quoted message said:Quoted message said:Quoted message said:week is a good rate to be losing weight for someone your size. Your
starting weight is listed as 280. You say you lost 6 lbs in this 2
week alcohol test period and are now at 267. That means that prior
to
Quoted message said:Quoted message said:Quoted message said:this test, you weighed 273. In other words, prior to this you lost a
grand total of 7lbs. in some unspecified time period, which is hardly
a
Quoted message said:Quoted message said:Quoted message said:basis for concluding that you should be consistently losing at the
rate
Quoted message said:Quoted message said:Quoted message said:of 10lbs every 2 weeks. Plus, the initial weight loss during
induction is almost always faster during the first week due to one
time
Quoted message said:Quoted message said:Quoted message said:water loss and that rate can't be sustained. IMO, that is largely
what
Quoted message said:Quoted message said:Quoted message said:you are seeing here.
Note that I'm not saying anyone should be drinking alcohol during
induction, which I think is a bad idea. Or that drinking 9 oz of
alcohol in a day won't interfere with weight loss. I'm just saying
that based on faulty data for one person, this doesn't say anything
about alcohol one way or the other.
