  1. Well. I met this wonderful guy. He is perfect in any way imaginable - well, except for one thing.
The only kind of meat he can eat is meat that does not come from pork, poultry, game or fish. That
    leaves us with beef.

I am not the greatest cook on earth, so I won't make to kinds of dinners for us when we are eating
together - but how "bad" is beef in terms of points compared to poultry or fish? And also: I need
new recipe ideas that include the red meat...:o)

beef is great. You can get it very lean, but it generally costs a bit more the leaner it is. Lamb
would also be on the menu, though thats probably higher fat (and so calories/points). Then there are
the exotic meats like buffalo, emu/ostrich, crocodile, rabbit, goat, etc. If you go for 'wild' meats
they will be low fat and much better for you than intensively farmed stuff (no added hormones etc).

You could also try all sorts of offal meats like liver and kidney. Lamb's liver is fabulous.

You can also try meat substitutes like quorn, soya, etc. They are different not necessarily better
or worse. They are mostly low fat.

    see www.fitday.com for nutrient info.

Just as a matter of interest why can't your friend eat anything but beef? Is it religious? ethical?
    medical? taste?

WW cookbooks and food lists are your friends here: yes, beef and lamb (he can eat lamb, if not the
others? Is this a preference thing?) are heavier on the points, but for grilled stuff, there's no
reason why you shouldn't have a chicken breast when he has a steak!

  5. You know.... some very lean beef is actually lower in fat and caloric content than poultry... as in
perhaps duck or a turkey leg.

Well, I think it is the idea of eating animals that turns him off (then why beef? well, not even he
knows that..LOL) And since I am in Denmark it is not that easy to get a hold of ostrich or emu og
    buffalo;o)

What about meat substitutes like soy products or tofu? Are they available in Denmark? With the right
seasonings they can be very tasty. Maybe you should look for some vegetarian cookbooks or websites
for ideas. My BIL is a vegetarian and eats a lot of veggies, beans, pasta and tofu. He does not do
fish, eggs or meat of any kind. I can't remember if he eats cheese. He does drink beer <g>.

He doesn't like the idea of eating animals, but he'll eat beef !!!

He's just being awkward. Certainly not being consistent. Just serve up what you want and tell him
it's beef. He'll never know the difference. Of course serving fish pie might make him suspicious🙂

If you want to put him off beaf as well, print out some research on Mad Cow disease 🙂
