Like? It's very hard to buy something that's low carb. That's what's
hard about low carb. The world is based on high carb, low fat. Other
than a plate of vegetables, there's really nothing I can think of to buy
(even quiche is filled with partially hydrogenated oils, sugars, and the
like). Heck, I have a very hard time buying stuff for myself, and I'm
typically resorting to sausage and the like.

    OH MY GOD STOP *WHINING*!

You can't go to a party and "starve". You can't eat before a party and go
for "6-8 hours" without eating (what the hell do you do at night?). It's
very hard to buy something that's low carb. Whine, moan, complain.

Look, you don't need excuses to cheat. If you're going to do it, just do
    it.

If you aren't going to cheat, it's magically a lot easier to find those
"very hard" things to buy. In any supermarket. Rotisserie chicken,
cheese and deli plates, quality soft cheese spreads, precut celery and
carrot sticks, pickles, smoked salmon, pre-cooked shrimp plates.

And don't bother whining back about how that stuff is too expensive, or
you don't like seafood, or whatever excuse you're about to come up with.
Just shut up, and either follow your WOE or don't.

    KeS

    Very refreshing!

    Si.

  6. It's Christmas night here in Tokyo. I haven't had a single urge to go
above my carb limit (20 carbs/day) during the holiday season so far.

    If I'm hungry I'll get a roasted chicken. 🙂

I'm not having "too" much trouble this holiday season. I've managed to find
lower carb selections everywhere I've gone. I've stayed away from sugar since
when I eat it, 20 minutes later I get some sort of "crazy attack" from the
sugar rush. So far, my only downfall is eating a few too many "sugar free" (aka
sugar alcohol laden) snacks. I feel a little heavier (but clothing still fits
the same), but that's probably just water retention. I haven't given up the
rest of December, once the 26th rolls around, I'm back on my strict program (I
don't have any New Year's plans). I also plan on starting a weight
lifting/Pilates program to firm up from my weight loss (30 lbs with 10 to go).

Tonight (Xmas Eve) we're having home made lasagna with meatballs. I'll have a
small piece with a ball, and a large salad. SF Jello for dessert. Xmas day is
with the inlaws, I know there will be a cold cut plate, so for sure there will
be something for me to eat.

Happy Holidays to all here, I've learned a great deal in my 8 months on this
    NG.
