remarkable strength, remarkable climbing. You are either looking at the next great GT rider, or a fraud.

... and that is a very sad comment which sums up the current state of the sport 🙁

  2. Which explains why he fell off his cycle last year at the ranch in Texas in front of all the TV cameras. Andy Schleck does not own a ranch in Texas and is not the President of the US, therefore he could not be doping. Unless he fell off his bike.

Fox news and many posters, here, both pro and con use this type of logic when the subject of doping comes up.

The fact is: who cares? Doping has ruined cycling. Even amateurs use dope. I am talking about guys who go out and drive around the city of Boulder in packs on Sundays, not pros, not even guys who enter competitive races. I am talking about stockbrokers and teachers and unemployed economists.

Many here think DC is dirty and yet maintain, despite recent history, that CSC is clean. You can't have it both ways.

    Who?

I don't think there is a single poster on this forum who would maintain that DC is dirty and CSC is clean.

    If there is, speak up.

It's not an either / or. The next great GC rider will almost certainly also be a fraud.

I think DC is dirty... And CSC is dirtier.
    Dirtier because of Riis' hypocrisy.
That man is unbelievable... Image of hard core doper, miraculous improvements of riders coming to his team, then confession (confession which was just formality, we all new that) and he still keeps talking about clean team and strict anti doping program.
But, why do we talk about doping in cycling? It's fact. The only thing which makes the difference and separates teams is how they cheat and escape controls.

I wouldn't say CSC has been exposed because Riis admiited using doping as a rider.

Hmm. So a 21 year old kid who has never done squat blows the lid off the Giro and you say, "could be clean". A 24 year old kid does the same at the Tour after winning Paris Nice, Castilla y Leon, taking second at Romandie, and winning a whole [censored] of mountain stages in other races and you say, "must be doping".

By the way, Basso got caught doping while at CSC. Riis plays to the media - "I'm shocked, shocked, I can't believe there is gambling going on in this establishment". Aw, the poor guy. A case of dirty riders taking advantage of their snow white DS.

    I did? Where?

It's very likely that Andy is doping, but we can't say it with 100% certainty like we can with Puerto Contador. There is also a huge difference between the Giro and the tour.
