My wife's really skittish about having people we don't know stay over for
the night, but I could pick you up and drop you off at a hotel. I'm pretty
sure we can get three bikes in the car
(http://bbauer.gomen.org/images/bike-carrier.jpg), so you can consider the
PDX-Eugene trip on Saturday taken care of. Its about 6 hours roundtrip.

I don't think so...though I think we ended up missing much of the lava
fields on my last ride. Check with Miles - even though he's in LoSoCal,
he's ridden this trail, and he's got plenty of SS experience.
I know one thing - it'd probably kill ME!

joining us for the ride...
Not that I'm trying to avoid you or anything :-), but Eugene and Portland
are roughly the same distance (as the crow flies) from Boise, so if you
wanted to avoid the 6-hour car ride on Saturday you could just fly to
Eugene. I'm pretty sure Penny will already be there on Friday night.
